All of a sudden, my night light turned on by itself. My palms started to sweat and my legs were wobbly like jelly. My heart was beating like a bouncing trampoline. I bravely walked over to my light and it was broken. I tried to yell out to my mum but she wouldn’t answer. I slowly reached my arm out and turned my torch on. I slowly picked my night light up and it was as heavy as an ox.

As soon as I was at the edge of the water, all I could see was darkness. A cold shiver went up my spine as I slowly tip toed into the cold water. My heart beat like a jackhammer hammering through pavement and my worried legs were wobbly like jelly. I panted and panted until there was no more breath left to pant. As the cold water rose up to my shivering waist, I was in shock. My stomach had fluttering butterflies inside.

I sit down while trembling uncontrollably.
“It’s okay Zoe,” mum whispered. I started shaking.
“Welcome ladies and gentleman to the circus! First up is the clown!” The man on the speaker called out.
My eyes widen in horror as my greatest fear came out of the navy, soft curtains. As we nervously sat down, the clown squirts water at us.

Soon after, my friends go have a swim in the water while I stay back on the sand. I suddenly spot something in the water.
“It’s a shark fin!” I yelp.
An eerie chill ran down my thick spine. My chest was so tight, it was hard to breath as my heart beat nonstop. My lips quivered uncontrollably like a mini rollercoaster on my lips. I suddenly turned around and dashed back to the carpark.
