End of a productive year

This week I would like to reflect on my short time here at Bowen State School. I acknowledge the hard work, commitment and dedication of our staff and leaders to supporting students at our school. We have seen changes to our school environment and growth in our enrolments. An action packed calendar of events has immersed students in a variety of cultural, sporting and recreational activities. Many highlights and wonderful opportunities for our students. This year we say goodbye to a number of staff, as they transition out to new adventures, I wish them and their families all the best for the future. I welcome new families for 2020 and staff to our school. We are looking forward to a bright and prosperous new year including a sharp and narrow focus for our students.

Could I wish all families a safe and enjoyable Christmas break. A fantastic time to spend quality time together, sleep ins and no school lunches to make! Hooray!

Until next year! Thank you to all our families for your support and commitment to our school. I am proud of the achievements and the reputation we are driving. Well done! Looking forward to sharing more great news stories next year.

I want to say a quick sayonara to Bowen State School. I am not saying goodbye because Molly and I are staying here in Bowen. I have enjoyed my time here and believe this is a great school and know that I am leaving it in good hands.

I plan to do some travelling next year however I most probably will come back to do some relief work so I will keep in touch but if the weather’s calm and the fish are biting I will be out in my boat.

I am looking forward to being a part of this great community of Bowen.
