A Message from the HOSES
Challenge Games 2024
Preparations for the 2024 Challenge Games in Townsville from July 23-25 are in full swing. Thank you to the families of invited participants who returned the expression of interest notice as it has allowed us to finalise plans and book in accommodation, buses etc. More information will be distributed to families of students participating shortly as well as details of meeting for parents to attend to ask questions and find out more details about this great experience.
We are still looking for sponsors to assist keeping costs as low as possible and make this opportunity available for all students that would like to attend. If you know of a business that may be able to support our adventure to Challenge Games 2024, please don't hesitate on passing on my details (Ethan Shaw ecsha0@eq.edu.au).
Catering for Individual Learning Needs
Classroom teachers work tirelessly to ensure that all students have their individual learning needs catered for to ensure every child achieves their potential. This includes using ongoing assessment data to inform planning and planned weekly collaboration sessions with Leadership members and other departmental supports (e.g. Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists etc.). If you have any questions or concerns about your child's learning or how they are being supported to achieve their potential, I encourage you to get in contact with your child's classroom teacher or myself to discuss, prioritise and collaborate further. A strong partnership between family and the school is crucial to children being successful in the learning, enjoying their learning and ultimately achieving their potential (academically, socially and emotionally).
