What a wonderful way to end the term with some celebrations.
Congratulations to Prep P who won the Giant Book Hunt Class Challenge by having the least number of overdue books from our library!
Year 4 & 5 students received a Zooper Dooper for keeping their eating area litter free for all of Week 9! Awesome job.
Well done to the Year 5 teachers and students who have raised $1500 towards their camp in Term 4. Thank you to families and staff for supporting the Crazy Hair, Crocs and Socks and school disco fundraisers. Champion effort!
Our Year 6 students and families have attended high school transition events this term. The students were able to ask Bowen High School staff questions, meet past BSS students and the high school mascot.
Planned events for Term 4 include a Parent Information Night, Wednesday 9th October 5:30pm – 6:30pm plus a come and try afternoon on the same day from 4:30pm-5:30pm. This will be for Instrumental, Netball, Touch, Musical and Academy.
Applications for Scholarships, Netball Academy and STEM Academy are due by Friday 18th October.
Congratulations to the Year 5 students who received a Gold Badge at our Week 10, Friday Badge Parade. Gold Badges are awarded to students who have demonstrated leadership in our school. These students volunteer their time to support others e.g. Reading Hub, Gardening Club, Bowen Buddies. Students require a Gold Badge if they wish to apply for a 2025 student leader position.
Our next round of Gold Badges will be awarded in Week 5. Gold Badge applications are due to the office by 9am, Monday, Week 4.
