In Prep A, we recently celebrated our 100^th day of School.

We counted using our 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s different lots of 100s and wrote about what our life will be like at 100 years old.

1A

This term, 1A are looking at animal characters that display human qualities. Seleena, Emma and Scarlett have written about Hugh from the picture book ‘Willy and Hugh’. We are learning to use our ‘No Excuse’ charts to fix up our own spelling mistakes.

2A

In HASS, 2A are looking at how technology has changed over the years. We will be looking at features that have stayed the same or changed and how it has impacted on our life. Here, some of our students are looking at the old school bell that used to hang near the music room. We will compare this to our current electronic system. We will look at household items and transport during this semester.

3A

3A have started Term 3 amazingly! We have experienced dot painting and had a great time at NAIDOC Day.

In Science, we have started investigating heat where we will begin experiments using thermometers and cooking porridge.

4A

At the end of last term Year 4 had an amazing excursion to the Bowen Court House, Bowen Museum and Whitsunday Regional Council. All these locations provided valuable insight into historical events and how Bowen was established. Visiting the oldest building in Bowen, The Court House was a valuable experience showing students how the court system worked.
