On Wednesday afternoon nine year six leaders attended the Youth Forum hosted by PCYC Community Officer Madonna McLeod. The forum was targeted at an audience of 12-24year olds. The purpose of the forum was to gather information first hand from youth about their knowledge of services in Bowen, the challenges they face in our community, actions to support increased engagement, increased safety and connection to community. 

The youth planned strategies and activities that will be presented to council.

Our students were split across three tables and connected with PCYC staff, Whitsunday Regional Council staff, various state school staff, police and The Peter Project director.

The students displayed the school core values of being safe, respectful, responsible and a learner. They received praise from a range of different professionals and did the school proud.
