1 W/P
1W/P have been learning about measuring the length of objects. Izac, Taylor and Kai used unifix blocks to measure the length of their pencils and eraser. They made sure there were no gaps or overlaps.
2 D/G
This term 2D/G have been building their knowledge and skills base in a range of areas. Our class is confident in knowing the parts of a narrative structure - Orientation, Complication and Resolution. Our class is currently editing their narratives ready to write their good copy. In Science, students have been exploring Earth's Resources - water, soil and resources from underground, how we use them and how we can conserve the resources. As part of Science, we have been experimenting with different soil types to grow flower seedlings. In HASS, students are enjoying exploring maps and the language that goes with them, for example directions (north, south, east, west). We will continue to explore locations, places, and their connections to others and ourselves for the remainder of the semester.
6F
Students in 6F are working hard to improve their problem solving ability in Maths. This problem combines our current explicit teaching on 24hr time and duration of time, with multiplication skills. This student showed logical and efficient thinking to accurately solve the problem and show clear workings.
