I would first of all like to congratulate all the students that have participated in Bowen Sub District Trials over the past couple of weeks. All students put forth a great effort and did an excellent job representing Bowen State School. Well done!

Many students have started training for Cross Country before school. It is great to see so many students signed up and keen to challenge themselves to reach new fitness goals.
We will be hosting our Inter-house Cross Country trials on Thursday April 4th at Bowen State School. The event will kick off at 9:15 am on the Gregory street oval and run for the morning session. Details and times will be sent home closer to the date.

Cross Country will be followed by our first annual Colour Splash & Dash (fun run with colours) event during the middle session. Students will need a light coloured shirt and a change of shorts to change into prior to the event. Notes will be sent home early next week with details and sponsorship forms. We are fundraising to provide all play areas with sporting equipment (below) for students during lunch time.
Families and friends are more than welcome and encouraged to come out and support all participants throughout the day.
