Pick of the Crop
Hello to all our wonderful Bowen State families,
Wow! Have you checked out the school vegetable garden recently? It is thriving. I welcome you all to come in and check it out.
The school vegetable garden is changing on a weekly almost daily basis and students are doing a fantastic job keeping it maintained and looking great. Our resident green thumbs have been patiently waiting for the first lot of produce and it is the yellow squash that has provided the first flower and vegetable.
It is with great excitement that I announce that the Garden Club have been the successful recipients of the Eco Ports Grant through North Queensland Bulk Ports. They have received $1000 to purchase gardening equipment that will support the continuation and sustainability of the school vegetable garden. Thank you, North Queensland Bulk Ports for your support and generosity.
Congratulations to Mrs Groves and the Garden Club for a very successful submission.
Until next time Bowen State, stay happy and healthy.
