Dear Parents/Carers,

We have thoroughly enjoyed the Term with the demonstration of our commitment to community, respect for each other and taking the time to stand strong and proud for what we believe in. Congratulations to all students and staff at Bowen SS.

Thank you to our partners in our school community and in our wider community, to our parents and carers for your commitment and trust in our school.

Our ANZAC day Ceremony will be held on Wednesday April 24th at 9:30am in our school hall. The first week of Term 2 is a short week for us. We have a couple of public holidays, one of which is ANZAC Day. A great part of this day is the opportunity to participate in the community celebration and recognition ceremonies. We will have our school ceremony on Wednesday in order to prepare and educate the children on the significance of the occasion before the march on Thursday. More details will be available about this opportunity when we return from holidays.

As we move into the holidays, I trust you will take good care of our little people. Please ensure you have safety plans for them and that you know where they are at all times.

If you are travelling on the holidays please do so with great care and if you are staying in the area, please provide structure for the children to keep them busy and occupied.
