A Message from our Head of Inclusion

As we find ourselves in the middle of Term 2 already , how time fly's. NCCD is creeping up upon us, you will find a letter either emailed, text on our Facebook page explaining the process of this data collection and what our school obligations are.
We would like to thank all those parents that attended Parent Teacher interviews and those that also made time to take our phone calls, working Collaboratory with our families are key  to our students success.

Challenge Games will be held on the 27th and 28th July 2022 in Townsville and we are excited to be attending. We will be holding an afternoon tea information session  for parents and students on the 1st June, an invitation will be sent home closer to the date. We are excited that our shirts are in production and will arrive at the end of July.

We would like to welcome our newest families to ECDP and look forward to working with our families and service providers to support the transition to prep in 2023 and 2024.
ECDP is held at Bowen State School on a Monday at 9 -11am
Playgroup is  Friday at 9am in the Bowen State School library
What is an Early Childhood Development Program?
Early Childhood Development Programs (ECDPs) provide early intervention to children who require intensive, multidisciplinary programs to develop skills and behaviours to maximise their participation in schooling.
ECDPs play a different but complementary role to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) supports, and to kindergartens.
ECDPs are for eligible children with significant disability or suspected disability in the categories of autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, intellectual disability, physical impairment, speech language impairment or vision impairment.
For general information about ECDPs, including a list of locations and information about how to access them, visit:
