Students have been working very hard on their Media Arts units. We are now starting to get into the fun part of designing. Preps have been exploring characters and settings in media artworks inspired by stories, and drawing pictures of things they enjoy doing with their families. Year 1 continue to explore the basic functions of a computer and typing. They have been identifying different digital devices in the classrooms and understanding their function and purpose.

Year's 2-4 have been exploring the features of PowerPoint. They have been especially enjoying the background design features and Word Art transformations. The students are navigating the functions quite well, while some students are more confident than others to explore the program. Year 4 are currently working on their humour poems for their animated character. Year 3 are creating an Earth Day poster, to persuade the audience to participate in this event. Year 2 are beginning to create a character for the landscape background, to which they will add a soundscape. The students will present these to the class, once completed.
