Maximising Learning Days
Last week on parade I spoke to the school community about our commitment to the Department’s Equity and Excellence Policy and the clear messages around Maximising Learning Days for all students. At Bowen State School we incorporate our whole school positive behaviour for learning (PBL) system to ensure positive relationships between students and staff. We ensure all classes are consistent with our values around this system. We work with individual families and students to ensure we are removing the barriers so that all our students can access the curriculum and reach their full potential. I am proud of the wrap around supports we offer here at Bowen State to ensure children are at school getting the opportunities to grow and develop their skills and knowledge each and every day.
End of Term
As we approach the end of a very busy term, I would like to emphasise the importance for families to track and monitor the various school communication platforms for upcoming key events. This includes junior & senior sporting events, Under 8’s Day and NAIDOC day. This is an exciting time to celebrate great cultural and sporting events here at our school. I’m looking forward to celebrating these key events alongside our students and staff.
Have you enrolled for Prep at Bowen State?
Recently we shared our Prep transition dates and flier for the Saturday Prep Open Day. At Bowen State we value transitions for students and the whole family. On the first Saturday after the school holidays (15 July) we will opening up the classrooms for families to view our campus. I am looking forward to giving our incoming families and students a guided tour of what Bowen State can offer for your Prep child in 2024.
