Fancy Dress Dance Performance Success

Can I thank our amazing teachers Mrs Conway and Mr Dunn for their significant hard work and long hours to prepare such an amazing evening of entertainment on Thursday night. The Fancy Dress/Dance Performance is a tradition at our school that has been occurring for generations. This year, we split the evening to accommodate for the significant growth in our school. A credit to Leigh for his setting out and amazing light show for our families. Our hard-working P&C keep the food coming to our families and were flat out during the evening. We received lots of positive feedback from families around the changes which enabled us to just fit and enjoy seeing our students perform. I appreciate the financial support from families and look forward to the next major fundraising event of the year being the Colour Run next term. Thank you again for all families, staff and students for supporting this great event this year.

Don River Dash Buggies

Last week celebrated the local talent of families and students who are revving up for this years Don River Dash. We hosted Tom & Sally Jack who are BSS Family who are racing this year, students got to check out their cool buggy and meet some sponsors from the community. The excitement continues with a group of buggies coming next Thursday for viewing at 8am in the upper school parade area. Please see our Facebook page for more details.

Last Few Weeks of the Term

As we approach the last few weeks of term, can I remind parents of the importance to monitor and support the wellbeing of your children. Research says we can counteract fatigue with lots of sleep, healthy breakfast, a good lunch and drinking water are important for a good start to a school day. Check ins are important and we are here ready to help when challenges arise. Teachers are keeping the high expectations around the teaching and learning right up to the last day of this term which also supports the regular routines and work output. We ask our families to keep up to date with the class and whole school activities occurring during Week 9 & 10 so changes are discussed as a family and everyone is aware.
