Welcome to Week 6!

We are over halfway through Term 4, how time flies! Our focus for the last week has been Being Responsible: Following Adult Instructions. It is important to for students to remember as we near the end of the year, that although they are tired, worn out, brain fried, it is still important to stay in routine and follow instructions to ensure that everyone has a successful and enjoyable end to the year. Some strategies that can assist them through a tough time include mountain breathing, showing resilience (having a go), asking for some space or quiet time to reflect and reset, and asking someone for help.

Our focus for next week will be Being Respectful: Respecting the Rights of Others to Learn and showing an awareness for the feelings, needs and interest of others. This will prompt students to think about what they need to have their needs met in these last few weeks of school. Is it that they need help with the work? Do they need a break to refresh? Do they want more positive feedback so that they continue to follow the school’s four values? Staff and students will reflect on this throughout their PBL lesson and review the classroom expectations and positive and negative consequences in each classroom.
