Recently we held our annual Colour Fun Run which is the P&C’s major fundraising event for the year. Our fundraising goal was $10000 and we are happy to announce that through your fundraising and participation we raised over $13000.

Unfortunately, 40% of all money raised goes back to the School Fun Run organisation however we will bank just over $8500. This year all profits are being donated directly to the school and will be used to update upper school reading resources. $8500 will certainly go a long way to assist the school in purchasing reading resources. 

As always, the event was well attended by the students of Bowen State. This year we changed the structure of the day by introducing a minimum participation fee of $5 p/student or $10 p/family.  The implementation of the participation fee meant we raised more money at this year’s Colour Fun Run than any other year since they began in 2019. 

Our Highet fundraiser for 2023 was Jax McDonald who raised at total of $750.

Our Grandmaster fundraisers were Grace Ryle, Darcy Aspinall, Jax McDonald and Westly Town and the Highest Fundraising Class was PD who collectively raised $2282.00. Congratulations, to all students who participated and raised money for our school.

Lastly, a massive thank you to Mr Dunn, administration, teachers, teacher aides, students and their families as the success of the day would not have been possible without the support of each and every one of you.
